The brief was tropical resort, a relaxed space for our busy clients to enjoy.
The beautiful landscape, heavily filled with tropical palms and plants has been enhanced thoughtfully with strategic placement of garden spike spotlights to showcase the understated grandeur of this paradise. The sweeping driveway has been lined with palms lit up from the ground to pave the way to the main entrance.
Pin lights saturating the rendered walls as you walk through the front door, followed by directional downlights drawing attention to design pieces and artworks.
The installation of large handblown bespoke glass pendants through out the home are a focal point, accentuating the scale of high ceilings and the light and bright open plan living area.
Smaller spaces often complimented by LED strip lighting and the option of dimmable lights for a moodier aesthetic against the dark fittings and rich textures to create a comfortable feeling we still need in a home.
Aside from the family of four and their pets, there’s someone else who also lives here, her name is Alexa. She’s a personal interactive voice assistant, who can do just about just about everything, and there to streamline our clients’ lives.
The seamlessly integrated spaces are pulled together with automated lighting as you move through the home, by simply just asking her. Accompanying extensive electrical and AV technology installed through the home, Alexa is connected into everything.
The impressive home theatre is equipped with an Integra AV receiver and Goldenear speakers paired with a 98” screen, creating the ultimate entertainment system.
Home entertainment was a feature throughout the home and split into 10 audio zones, all the way through to the bathrooms where we installed marine grade Sonance Extreme speakers to withstand the moisture and steam, while also not compromising on sound quality.
Discreet Klipsch speakers and subterranean subwoofers buried within the garden, seamlessly disappearing into the landscaping to facilitate an entertainer’s dream.
All this is held together with the structured cabling and custom design and built home network by our inhouse IT specialist and AV technicians.
A tailored security solution was put in place to give the family peace of mind, keeping on eye on things whether they were home or away with a 4TB security drive. Motorised turret and fixed cameras were tactfully placed for maximum visibility while still being considerate to blend into the exterior façade. Automated access control installed for both the front gate and doors keeping accessibility for the family simplistic while adding an extra level of security with audio and visual visitor identification through an intercom.
Our job of highlighting the beautiful collaboration of the award-winning teams at LTD Architectural Design Studio, Golder Residential and Kristen Ford Design was carefully considered. Every aspect of this home is a masterpiece, and the attentively designed installation of lighting and technology played its part in awakening the space.
